EASTER WEEKEND

This last weekend was the BEST weekend we have had in a REALLY long time. We stayed home and we all got to be together. Neither of us worked the weekend and it was so great. Of course I had stuff planned cause I hate to just sit home with nothing to do and nowhere to go. Friday we went and picked out trees for our yard and picked up rail road ties for our play ground. And anyone that knows Hans and I, know that we do not do projects well together... especially yard work! I think we should put in a good 15 hour day and get it done- Hans thinks we should do and hour and go get drinks and then do and hour and take a nap! lol! But we dug 7 2x3' holes for our trees and we had so much fun working together with our 2 boys by our side! I'm so EXCITED to have our trees! Our boys loved being outside almost all weekend, they were so grungy, but that's what is cute about boys?!
The boys loved the Easter egg hunt we had and couldn't believe that the Easter bunny knew what stuff they liked! I love that they are young enough not to notice all the candy was in red and green wrappers and I love that Easter is the perfect time to clean out my candy drawer!

And to top the weekend off I got to cook! I was so fun, I love to cook but I've just been busy and lazy. So I borrowed my mom's Pioneer Woman cook book and made a menu:

THURSDAY- PISTACHIO CRUSTED PORK LOIN WITH RASPBERRY CHIPOLTE SAUCE ( my mom showed me this one;)

FRIDAY- RIB EYE STEAKS WITH WHISKEY CREAM SAUCE AND MUSHROOMS (Pioneer Woman)

SATURDAY BREAKFAST- BRATS WITH ONIONS AND BELL PEPPERS AND EGGS

SATURDAY- HOMEMADE LASAGNA ( Pioneer Woman~ this was my first time doing homemade and it was so worth it!)

Thank goodness no one was counting calories! The food was really yummy and it was very satisfying to get to do something I love! It always helps when you have someone to clean up ur messes and do all the dishes too!, thanks Hans!

Is it just me or is it just SOO annoying when someone that has been around your kid for maybe like ~80 days of their life~ tries to tell you things about them?!? - Like I don't know. But I guess it's amazing what you can ~KNOW~ about someone when you spend 3 days a month with them.

...or perhaps I'm just very sensitive about it -or easily annoyed!

Winter Time

We have had so much fun this winter. Christmas was so nice and January has been a blast since school was cancelled for like a week and a half! It's made me want to pull Ryker out of school permanently so we could enjoy some lazy days with out the rush of getting ready in the mornings and having a schedule...except I would still have work. I so miss the days when he wasn't in school and we could do whatever we wanted. Now me and Dax wait patiently until that time rolls around when we can pick him up, and Dax says about a million times, "Ryka home?" Oh well, life goes on whether you want it to or not, we will just have to REALLY enjoy the times when he is not in school.

We have loved the snow, and very much enjoyed playing in it. We have drank about 20 gallons of hot chocolate this month and microwaved our bean bags at least 3 times a day to keep warm. We have made at least 2 snowmen and 100 snow angels, we have had plenty of snow ball fights and jumped and flipped off the porch, into the snow, at least a dozen times. But Ryker and Dax's favorite thing to do is sled, they both laugh and giggle the whole time. It is so cute to see them sled together. And when they are lucky they don't even need a hill, Hans or I will tie a rope on the sled and run and run til they fall off or we pass out. Who needs 4 wheelers?!

We have very much enjoyed this season and now I'm thinking I'm ready for it to move on. I hate this part when everything melts and you are left with all the mud. I hate the mud and dirt! I pray I get some grass this year...or we will be moving again! :)

I am SO grateful I have a job! And I am SO grateful I get to be around people I REALLY like and get to chat with all day while I make money! I have been doing hair now in Arizona for 5 1/2 years ...isn't that Crazy?!? Some have been with me the whole time, others have just started coming to see me, either way I was wanting to do something special for my clients for CHRISTMAS. My boys are just best buddies it is so cute to see them together, they snuggle every morning while they watch cartoons! Everyday when Ryker leaves for school Dax yells, "Ryka" at the top of his lungs and starts to cry!- then he runs over to the glass door of the class room where Ryker is and presses his fat wet cheeks against the glass. It really is sad to have to peel him away. He misses him so much when he is gone!

We played in the rain- hiked in the mountains- had a yard sale- and STARTED to build a fence around our yard! We love where we live...isn't the view from our front door beautiful?!

I totally suck at using the computer and hardly ever get on but i thought it would be nice to have a picture blog even if I never write on it! Actually my sis suggested that for me!
